In cooperation with the Czech company “Nečas works at heights”, the replacement of malfunctioned sensors installed in penstock of unit TG2 was performed at HPP Slapy (Czech Republic) at the end of August 2023.

The work was carried out in difficult conditions (a 5 m diameter penstock with a 30° slope, almost 100 %humidity, significant residual water flow through closed intake gate, etc.) and required the use of climbing techniques and special assembly platform set up in penstock.

The replacement was successfully carried out within planned 3 days and the new sensors were ready for guarantee measurement of unit TG2 carried out in October 2023, where they were used for flow evaluation using by Gibson method.
