At the beginning of 2018 was in the Hydropower Plant Vässinkoski in Sweden successfully commissioned Francis turbine and generator (power 10 MW) unit after renovation. The owner of the power plant is the Finnish company Fortum AB and the supplier of renovation was ČKD Blansko Holding, a.s.

The power plant is interesting in its atypical arrangement - the runner of the Francis turbine is connected to the generator by a 50-meter-long hollow shaft and the entire rotor is held by seven bearings.

OSC, a.s., provided within the commissioning expert assistance in setting the operating sensors, control elements and protection. An integral part of the commissioning was the operating parameters´ verification of the unit through acquisition and evaluation records measured values from both operational as well as from its own sensors.
