In cooperation with the Polish company Madex, the calibration of the newly built operational flow measurement was carried out, on the TG2 and TG4 units in HPP Pilchowice (Poland). This measurement took place on 22th – 23th May and 11th – 12th July 2023.

The Gibson method (pressure-time method) was used to calibrate the operational ultrasonic flow measurement (2 sensors in 1 plane, 1 traverse of beam).

Measurement results showed significant deviation of ultrasonic devices compared to correct values of flow (approx. +11 % and -18 %). However, by introducing correction factors, both operational flow meters will achieve very good measurement accuracy.
